Telephone Company Purchases Equinox Software for Nortel Wireless
Switch

PREPARES CALL RECORDS FOR CUSTOM BILLING SYSTEM
Nashville, TN — February 24, 2004
- Nashville-based Equinox
Information Systems today announced that Union Telephone Company,
a 90 year-old independent telephone company based in Wyoming,
has licensed ExtractCDR for the Nortel DMS MSC wireless switch.
“ExtractCDR is an efficient and reliable
software system,” said John C. Malone, Central Office
Supervisor for Union Telephone Company. “Prior to this
purchase, our engineers had to manually review and edit call
records to prepare them for processing in our billing system.
Now, ExtractCDR automates the entire process by serving as a
bridge between our Nortel wireless switch and custom billing
system.”
ExtractCDR allows carriers to effectively
mediate their call detail and billing records (CDRs) amidst
the constantly changing nature of downstream systems. The software
transforms raw switch data and billing records into usable formats
by preparing CDR data for export into most billing systems as
well as leading spreadsheet and database applications.
