Equinox To Host 22nd Annual Protector Fraud Management Event

Educational Conference Held Online For First Time Ever

(NASHVILLE, TN) September 9, 2020—Equinox Information Systems, the leading fraud management solutions (FMS) supplier in the telecom industry, is pleased to announce details for their annual Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM). Due to travel restrictions and lingering COVID19 concerns, Equinox will host the event online for the first time in its 22-year history. Set for October 13 and 14, this year’s conference features a special series of online trainings and educational sessions. The event draws fraud analysts, loss/fraud prevention experts, NOC staff, engineers, switch personnel, technical support, and billing specialists from all sectors of telecom and is on pace to set record attendance this year.

By popular demand, Equinox is again offering an introductory ‘Protector 101’ webinar in preparation for the user group. Designed to increase the educational value of the PUGM, the ‘Protector 101’ webinar includes a high-level overview of Protector's capabilities and explains system concepts, terms, and interface features via a guided system walk through. This level-set training, which is perfect for first-time attendees and newer members of the Protector community, takes place online September 23.

As always, every Equinox stakeholder helps plan and participates in the Protector User Group Meeting, including the CEO, development team, support department, sales personnel, as well as training and implementation representatives. The agenda directly supports Equinox’s mission to help telecom carriers protect and optimize their revenue. This year’s conference presents best practices for boosting ROI from new system features, includes expert guidance on reducing fraud loss, and has an expansive session led by Protector’s development team. As with all Equinox user groups, the event includes dedicated time for crowdsourcing product features (the Wish List).

“While we are disappointed not to meet in person as originally planned, the Protector User Group remains an essential customer function and a highly-anticipated event for the entire company,” explained Joe Herron, Vice President of Equinox Support. “The team has worked hard to bring timely, relevant training and support services to our customers in a new format for the 2020 meeting. We’re pleased that the web platform allows interaction during the event and that the online format affords greater scheduling flexibility for many customers. Equinox Support looks forward to their ‘Tips & Tricks’ presentation during PUGM and is available to help customers, before, during, and after the event!”

Registration for this educational event is now open. Get complete Protector User Group session details, including registration links, at: https://www.equinoxis.com/pugm2020.php.
