Details Revealed For 23rd Annual Fraud Management Conference

Educational Event Reformatted For October 5 - 6

(NASHVILLE, TN) September 7, 2021 — Equinox Information Systems, telecom’s leading fraud management solutions (FMS) supplier, today provided new details for their 23rd annual Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM). Originally slated and announced to occur in person, current conditions necessitate revamping the educational conference to occur entirely online October 5th and 6th. Although the meeting’s format has changed, Equinox’s commitment to delivering content that bolsters fraud management efforts and helps protect revenue is unwavering. The company has also reserved time to listen and gather input from all stakeholders in the Protector community (aka the Wish List).

Equinox has hosted user group meetings in Nashville since 1999. A hallmark of these meetings and driving force behind the large number of attendees who return year after year is comradery combined with the content’s value. The event is designed to forge and strengthen relationships not only between Equinox and its customers but also between every participant. Collectively, this group has identified insightful methods for mitigating fraud and devised innovative additions to the automated fraud-fighting application called Protector. Equinox highly values these collaborative interactions, which is why it was a difficult decision to transition to a virtual meeting.

“Even though it’s the right decision for the current situation, we are obviously disappointed that we aren’t able to gather in Nashville as originally planned. We’re so grateful for all the customers who reached out and thanked us for offering an option that allowed them to participate,” explained Chris Lowe, Director, Equinox Support. “PUGM has always been a cornerstone of the company’s service and support efforts...and the change of venue isn’t going to impact that. We’ve got a stellar lineup that includes best practice recommendations, training, new support tutorials, and a look at the latest time- and money-saving features.”

As has become tradition, Equinox is offering an introductory ‘Protector 101’ training in advance of the user group. Designed to increase the educational value of the PUGM, the ‘Protector 101’ webinar includes a high-level overview, explains fraud concepts/terms, and demonstrates the system’s interface. This training is a great introduction to Protector and perfect preparation for the user group. This ‘Protector 101’ training is available to any member of the Equinox community on September 21.

The educational event attracts fraud analysts, loss/fraud prevention experts, NOC staff, engineers, switch personnel, technical support, and billing specialists from all sectors of telecom. Registration is now open at no cost for any member of the Equinox user community. Get complete Protector User Group session details by visiting: https://www.equinoxis.com/pugm2021.php.
