Equinox Expands Fraud Management Solution For Mitel

Company Continues To Rely On Protector System

(NASHVILLE, TN) July 20, 2020 — Equinox Information Systems, a leading supplier of business assurance solutions for the telecommunications industry, is pleased to supply Mitel® with an additional module for the Protector fraud management system (FMS). Mitel, whose business communications and collaboration solutions are trusted by more than 70 million users each day, turned to Equinox to add active call tear down and automatic blocking to their current FMS license to further fortify their existing global network safeguards. Currently processing over 2 billion records daily for service providers around the world, Equinox has helped telecom companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue since 1986.

The two companies began a relationship when ShoreTel appointed Equinox to deploy the automated Protector fraud management system (FMS) in 2009. Immediately afterward, the company began participating in Equinox’s annual fraud symposium. Based on the positive results achieved with Equinox, ShoreTel added the CMP application to their FMS arsenal in 2016. As part of their ongoing fraud efforts, they later expanded their licensing for the FMS to monitor additional international network traffic. When Mitel acquired ShoreTel in 2017, the company elected to continue relying on Equinox as their fraud management solution provider and most recently requested the blocking and active call tear down abilities for their expanding global network.
