Equinox Adds Support for TAP-3 Format to TeleLink Application

TELALASKA PROCESSES ADDITIONAL RECORDS THROUGH SYSTEM

Nashville, TN - September 27, 2012 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems reports that long-time customer TelAlaska has purchased additional data licensing for their TeleLink mediation and network reporting solution. TelAlaska specializes in providing telecommunications and cable services to remote rural locations in Alaska in addition to offering internet and advanced data services statewide. TeleLink is Equinox's mediation and revenue assurance platform that makes usage data actionable by mediating, enriching, summarizing, and reporting upon the records.

TelAlaska has been relying on Equinox solutions since 2003. Based on the success achieved with TeleLink over the previous years, TelAlaska turned to Equinox for help extracting and storing the TAP (transferred account process) in-collect records they receive from Syniverse. The exponential growth in the wireless, VoIP, and soft switch markets means that the number and type of data formats used to transmit data across networks has continued to increase. To meet TelAlaska's data extraction and storage requirements, Equinox enhanced TeleLink to process the TAP format (v 3.12) that is part of the ASN.1 standard (Abstract Syntax Notation One). Equinox is currently working to further expand the range of ASN.1 data types that can be processed through TeleLink.

"Reliability, responsive, and attention to detail are key reasons we continue to turn to Equinox Information Systems," commented Shelley Woodward, Revenue Accounting manager for TelAlaska. "TeleLink continues to help TelAlaska deliver on their mission of innovation and excellence in the communications arena."

TeleLink is a robust, extensible revenue assurance platform that takes raw files and transforms them into actionable records. TeleLink's reporting and data integration features are powerful, allowing disparate usage data to easily be standardized, searched, stored in the data warehouse, and retrieved. TeleLink integrates with all switch types, prepares usage and call data for use by downstream operational support systems (OSS) and monitors network performance and activity in detail.

"Because our solutions are aimed at real-world business challenges, TeleLink was designed to accommodate industry changes, new data standards, and additional record formats rapidly and efficiently," explained David Ledbetter, National Sales Director for Equinox. "Equinox continues to earn the trust of TelAlaska by delivering high-quality software systems on-time and on-budget."
