Thumb Cellular Licenses Collector AFT/EIU for Nortel DMS MTX Cellular Switch

Nashville, TN — January 16, 2007 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that Thumb Cellular, a wireless voice and data provider in Michigan, has licensed Collector AFT/EIU. Thumb Cellular selected the Collector AFT/EIU mediation system to automate its usage records transmission process. The software, which downloads usage records in real-time by using the Automatic File Transfer process via an Ethernet Interface Unit, interfaces seamlessly with Thumb Cellular’s Nortel DMS MTX cellular switch.

"After researching various mediation systems, we concluded that Collector AFT/EIU was the best fit for us given the software's flexibility and features," explained Colleen Forman, Network Manager for Thumb Cellular.

Collector AFT/EIU provides real-time delivery of usage records and supports a number of switch types and communication protocols including X.25, TCP/IP, and file transfer protocol (FTP).
