Equinox Expands Product Line to Include Solutions for Plexus 9000 Switch

TCAST COMMUNICATIONS IMPLEMENTS EQUINOX SOFTWARE ON PLEXUS PLATFORM 

Nashville, TN — September 19, 2003 - Plexus 9000 switch. In a related announcement, TCAST Communications licensed two Equinox applications to work with their Plexus platform. With this purchase, TCAST extends their suite of Equinox solutions, which already include mediation, traffic analysis and telecom fraud management solutions to work with their existing legacy switch platform.

Equinox plans to sell additional software licenses to carriers operating on the Plexus platform in the near future. The Plexus 9000 switch platform is a carrier-grade switch that includes elements of a softswitch-based solution, including a media gateway, media gateway controller and signaling gateway, to provide Class 4/5 switching for the PSTN as well as ATM and IP networks.
