Sirius Telecom
Taps Equinox for Mediation Software
Nashville, TN — June 14, 2002 - Nashville-based Equinox
Information Systems today announced that Sirius Telecom has
purchased its integrated mediation platform. The purchase includes
Collector Deluxe and TeleLink. Collector provides real-time delivery
of call detail records (CDRs) from telephone switches to a carrier's
local area network (LAN). TeleLink facilitates the delivery of CDRs
by filtering and converting call data to the appropriate formats for
operational support systems (OSS), such as billing, fraud detection,
and network traffic analysis.
"Equinox's experience and reputation within the industry made us
feel comfortable doing business with them," explained Ken Fabrizio,
Vice President of Information Systems & Technology (IS/IT) at Sirius
Telecom. "TeleLink not only addresses our mediation needs as they
exist now, but also offers functionality that we can grow into as
our company matures. Between these two applications, Sirius Telecom
has taken a giant leap forward in terms of simplifying our billing
processes and improving overall efficiency."
TeleLink addresses a common problem for telecom carriers with
multiple OSSes that require different data formats. By applying
business rules for filtering and converting CDR data, users can
create and forward output files in one or more formats to one or
more OSS destinations. In short, the flexible design of the TeleLink
system allows users to extend and refine the software to meet their
specific data processing goals.
"We are pleased with Sirius Telecom's decision to grow with
Equinox," commented Jeremy Landa, who is responsible for business
development for Equinox. "This agreement reinforces our commitment
to deliver the industry's most competitive mediation platform and
supports our goal of becoming a leader in the integration of
operational support systems for the telecommunications industry."
