MobileTel Purchases Equinox Software For Wireless Switch

COLLECTOR DELUXE PROVIDES REAL-TIME DELIVERY OF CDRs

Nashville, TN — May 3, 2002 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that MobileTel, a leading full-service wireless communications company in Louisiana, has licensed Collector Deluxe. MobileTel selected the Collector Deluxe mediation system to automate their call detail record (CDR) transmission process. The software, which downloads records in real-time by using the Automatic File Transfer process via an Ethernet Interface Unit, was configured in less than two weeks to interface with their wireless switch.

"Prior to this software purchase, our engineers had to manually pull the tapes to download the call records for billing. Collector Deluxe facilitates the integration of mediation and billing processes, which saves MobileTel both time and money." 

Collector Deluxe provides real-time delivery of call detail records (CDRs) and supports a number of switch types and communication protocols including X.25, TCP/IP, and file transfer protocol (FTP).
