Communications Purchases Protector 10.0 Fraud Protection Software

HELP NUVOX COMMUNICATIONS PREVENT FRAUD
Nashville, TN — May 2, 2003 - Nashville-based Equinox
Information Systems today announced that NuVox Communications,
a privately held integrated communications provider based in
Chesterfield, Missouri, has implemented Protector 10.0 for real-time
telecom fraud protection. NuVox will use Protector 10.0 to interface
with its new Sonus switch platform from Sonus Networks (Nasdaq:
SONS).
Protector 10.0 provides real-time telecom fraud protection to
carriers by identifying instances in which a customer's actual
usage varies from expected usage in a manner that suggests fraudulent
activity. Over the last fifteen years, Protector has helped
hundreds of carriers limit losses to fraud using real-time profile-based
technology to distinguish fraud from honest customer usage.
