Equinox
Information Systems Announces Another Year Of Record Sales
Nashville,
TN—January
18, 2002 — Equinox Information Systems, a provider of telecom
software solutions, today announced that 2001 company revenues
increased for the sixth consecutive year. Fueled by a record
number of new clients and the development of new products and
partnerships, revenues for 2001 exceeded the previous year by
more than 14%.
"We are
gratified to see that our efforts continue to generate success,"
noted Byron Middendorf, Equinox CEO. "Our principle of delivering
quality software products at a reasonable price backed by excellent
support continues to be validated as an effective business model.
These results reflect our sixth consecutive year of record earnings
and underscore the quality of our products and the stability of our
company."
Despite the
general economic contraction, and the significant downturn in the
telecommunications industry in 2001, Equinox once again exceeded
gross and net revenue projections. Contracts from new and existing
clients, the move into new markets such as Western Europe, and the
release of new products in the area of fraud management and
mediation together accounted for this growth. 2001 marked the 13th
year of growth in Equinox Information System's 15-year history.
Since 1995 average annual growth has exceeded 31%.
"In
addition to another record year of revenue, we also made major
strides in terms of our development approach, which is evidenced
by the successful development of the latest generation of our
telecom fraud management system, Protector," explained
Wayne Lowe, Equinox President. "With Protector version
10 we integrated new technologies and architectures that allowed
us to achieve a processing rate and functionality equivalent
to any other telecom fraud system on the market, and at significantly
lower cost of ownership."
"As the
telecommunications industry continues to evolve, we feel that our
long history of providing solutions at a low cost positions us well.
At hundreds of customer sites Equinox has demonstrated the ability
to deliver solutions that allow carriers to reduce losses, increase
efficiency, launch new products, and improve quality of service,"
added Executive Vice President David West. "As market conditions
continue to force carriers to focus on profits and margins, we can
provide proven tools to assist them."
