Equinox Information Systems' Protector 10 Telecom Fraud Management System To Be Deployed At XO Communications

Nashville, TN — September 13, 2004 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that XO Communications, Inc. has upgraded its telecom fraud management software to Protector 10. As one of the industry's most widely deployed fraud detection systems, Protector 10 provides real-time fraud protection to carriers by identifying instances in which a customer's actual usage varies from expected usage in a manner that suggests fraudulent activity.

XO Communications, Inc. has used Protector since 1996. With this upgrade XO will have access to advance profiling, investigation, case management and reporting functions to better manage fraud across its network of more than thirty Nortel DMS-500 switches.
