Eureka Networks Purchases Protector 10.0 Telecom Fraud Management
Software From Equinox Information Systems
PROTECTOR
10 TO HELP EUREKA NETWORKS PREVENT COSTLY FRAUD
Nashville, TN — October 4, 2005
- Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced
that Eureka Networks, a privately held communications provider
based in New York, New York, has implemented Protector 10 for
real-time fraud detection. Eureka will use Protector 10 to interface
with its Lucent 5ESS central office switch.
Protector
offers real-time fraud protection by identifying instances in
which a customer's actual usage varies from expected usage in
a manner that suggests fraudulent activity. Over the last seventeen
years, Protector has saved carriers millions of dollars in fraud
losses by distinguishing telecom fraud from honest customer
usage.
"We selected the Protector 10 fraud management system to
reduce the costs associated with telecom fraud," said Shane
Bouslough, Eureka Networks’ Vice President of Information
Systems. "Equinox has a well-documented history of leadership
in the telecommunications industry for fraud control, and we
are confident that Protector 10 will successfully limit our
customers' exposure to fraud."
"We
are excited that Eureka Networks has elected to install Protector
10," explained David West, Equinox Executive Vice President.
“This software purchase demonstrates Eureka Networks’
commitment to network security and fraud control."
