Equinox Expands Telecom Mediation Product Set
ADDS
TCP/IP-BASED MEDIATION FOR LUCENT 5ESS AND
SUPPORT FOR XFER OVER X.25 FOR NORTEL DMS 100 AND DMS 250 SWITCHES
Nashville,
TN — December 19, 2005 - Nashville-based
Equinox Information Systems today announced the expansion of
its mediation system, Collector, to include additional options
for AMA and CDR collection from Lucent and Nortel switches.
For
the Lucent 5ESS switch, the company has added an option to Collector
for performing the mediation process using Transmission Control
Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) over a network connection,
in addition to its existing solution for collecting CDRs using
an X.25 link.
Equinox
also added an option to collect CDRs in batch mode from the
Nortel DMS 100 or DMS 250 using the XFER process. Previously
Collector only supported real-time CDR delivery using the AMA
process.
"In
both cases, we enhanced our applications based on customer’s
specific needs. For the Lucent switch, the modification was
prompted by a change in the switching platform to only support
IP mediation." noted David West, Executive Vice President
of Equinox. "The change for the Nortel switches was to
accommodate a customer with an older switch software load, who
wanted to avoid upgrading their switch software. In both cases
our knowledgeable and experienced staff was able to quickly
and cost-effectively modify our tools to meet the customer’s
need."
