Cleartel Communications Installs Equinox Information Systems'
Mediation Platform

AND TELELINK INTEGRATE WITH SIEMENS & NORTEL SWITCHES

TN — January 10, 2006 - Nashville-based
Equinox Information Systems today announced that Cleartel Communications
has licensed and installed a mediation platform from Equinox
Information Systems. The software platform, comprised of Collector
and TeleLink, facilitates the delivery of usage records by filtering
and converting call data to the appropriate data format for
import into billing and other operational support systems (OSS).

Communications faced a data integration challenge because of
the inconsistencies between the native data formats of usage
records from Nortel and Siemens switches," said Scott Gilbert,
Vice President of Information Technology at Cleartel. "The
Equinox mediation platform allows us to download usage records
in real-time and format the data so that everything is consistent."
Collector downloads usage records in real-time through standard
communication protocols, such as X.25, TCP/IP, and FTP. TeleLink
saves carriers time and money by automating the flow and ensuring
the data integrity of usage records as they travel from switches
to billing and other downstream OSS processes.
