Pioneer Telephone Licenses Collector Deluxe for Local Network

SOFTWARE TO PROVIDE OKLAHOMA COOPERATIVE REAL-TIME CDR DELIVERY

Nashville, TN - May 17, 2002 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that Pioneer Telephone, a telephone cooperative that serves over 50,000 subscribers in 30 Oklahoma counties, has licensed multiple copies of Collector Deluxe for their network of local switches. Collector Deluxe provides real-time delivery of call detail records (CDRs) from telephone switches to a carrier's local area network (LAN).

"Initially, we purchased Collector exclusively for our long distance switch. We were so pleased with the quality of the Collector system that we have decided to adopt the Collector Deluxe mediation platform for our entire network of local switches," stated Kent Weems, Central Office Division Manager for Pioneer Telephone. "As a relatively inexpensive software system, Collector Deluxe provides a reliable means of processing billing records, while keeping our rates low for our subscribers."

With the release of Collector Deluxe, Equinox has upgraded its popular mediation platform to include all of the features available in previous versions of Collector as well as new tools for:

  • Data Verification. New integrity checks confirm accurate delivery to downstream processes
  • Alarming. Alarm reports can be automatically sent via pager or email
  • Enhanced Reliability. Robust tools for recovery from network outages

"This software purchase represents an exciting step in further developing our already strong customer relationship with Pioneer Telephone," said Jeremy Landa who is responsible for business development for Equinox. "Collector Deluxe will be an asset to Pioneer Telephone as they grow throughout Oklahoma."
