Logix Communications Licenses Equinox Mediation Platform

Nashville, TN - May 30, 2003 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that Logix Communications, an integrated communications provider based in Houston, Texas, has deployed Equinox's mediation platform, TeleLink across its local and long distance network. TeleLink supports the processing of usage detail records (CDRs, AMAs, and other types), filtering and converting data to the appropriate formats for operational support systems. Logix Communications will be using the software to interface with a variety of telephone switches. In addition, TeleLink accommodates incoming Unbundled Network Element (UNE) and Electronic Data Interface (EDI) data feeds from SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC).

"As a long time customer of Equinox, I am very familiar with the quality of Equinox's software and customer support," explained Ron Henriksen, CEO of Logix Communications. "We are excited to implement TeleLink as it allows us to integrate multiple existing processes into a single system to manage the flow of CDRs from a variety of data sources. TeleLink will allow us to keep our operational costs as low as possible so we can continue to offer the most competitive rates to our customers."

"We are delighted that Logix Communications has chosen TeleLink as its mediation platform," commented David West, Executive Vice President for Equinox. "This agreement reinforces our belief that TeleLink is the best solution for telecom providers that want to easily manage the flow and format of their usage records to downstream processes. I am pleased Logix has joined our long list of carriers effectively using this tool to replace internally developed work-around solutions and eliminate convoluted data flows to proactively manage the transmission and transformation of CDRs, AMAs, and other usage data."
