HickoryTech Further Expands TeleLink Usage

LICENSES ROUTING ASSURANCE MODULE FROM EQUINOX

Nashville, TN May 22, 2013 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems reports that HickoryTech has recently expanded their use of the TeleLink mediation and revenue assurance solution to include routing assurance functions. HickoryTech is a leading communications solution provider in the upper Midwest serving residential users, businesses, enterprises, service providers, and carriers. They initially licensed TeleLink in 2009 for network and usage reporting. At the same time, they also deployed Equinox's automated Fraud Management System, Protector. The successful results from both previous projects made Equinox the clear choice to help HickoryTech in this latest venture.

"Our experience with the support team at Equinox combined with the positive return on investment that we've seen from both Protector and TeleLink in the past 4 years made Equinox the clear choice for this project," explained Greg Hasse, Senior Product Manager at HickoryTech.

TeleLink provides essential revenue management, expense management, and network management tools. Its primary purpose is to make usage data actionable, just as it does in the Routing Assurance module that HickoryTech has licensed. The module includes automated tools for outputting least cost route guides (by jurisdiction and route parameter), performing optimal route calculations, and creating what-if cost scenarios for analyzing the cost-effectiveness and actual cost implications of inserting a new carrier into call routing. HickoryTech tasked the system specifically to determine route efficiency as well as validate prospective new carriers for call routing.

"Equinox values the established relationship we have with HickoryTech," noted David West, Executive Vice President at Equinox. "We appreciate the opportunity to provide routing assurance tools that improve productivity and decrease carrier costs. We look forward to working with them for many years to come."
