Size Matters! Or Does it?

One of my previous blogs, Tailor Made TeleLink, focused on Equinox’s revenue assurance solutions. In that blog, I explained how TeleLink helps optimize revenue for carriers because it is tailored to fit their exact and unique needs. While revenue assurance challenges are still in demand, we’ve recently seen an increase in the number of new customers who are looking to protect their revenue from the ever-present dangers of telecom fraud.

Our fraud management solution (FMS), Protector, has a well-deserved reputation in the telecom industry for drastically reducing the impact of fraud on customers’ networks, allowing them to protect their revenue. What you may not realize about Protector is that the heart and soul of this FMS is the same regardless of the customer’s size. This may not seem like groundbreaking news. However, it is quite an accomplishment and a testament to our software engineers that a fraud management solution can be scaled to handle daily volumes ranging anywhere from 250,000 calls per day to over 75 million calls per day. In fact, on any given day, Protector currently processes 475 million records for customers around the globe.

There are other factors of scalability to be considered, particularly when it comes to training and deployment. For example, we work with companies where a single individual is responsible for monitoring fraud on their company’s network as only one task in a list of overall daily responsibilities. At other companies, there is full-time fraud management teams who work together to monitor the network around the clock. Some companies have large, multi-layered IT departments, while others have no in-house IT staff. In all cases, we offer training and deployment options appropriate to the situation.

The Equinox team works directly with each customer, to ensure a perfect solution “fit”, because we know size—project scope and available technical resources—matters! By combining decades of telecom experience with decades of technical expertise, the team is well equipped to help you find the right fit, from recommending the proper hardware configuration, to maximizing processing speed and efficiency, to providing customized training, to fine tuning system settings for optimal performance.

Our personal approach ensures that each customer is equipped with the right solution—the one that fits their network, their staffing, their specific installation. When it comes to software solutions, one size certainly doesn’t fit all. However with a scalable architecture and collaborative approach, Protector can be configured to comfortably “fit” a wide range of companies and network architectures.
