Equinox Information Systems Set to Attend COMPTEL Fall 2012 Convention and Expo

Nashville, TN - September 16, 2012 - Today Equinox announced its attendance and participation in the COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2012 Convention and Expo, October 7-10 in Dallas, TX. Equinox, an industry-leading fraud management and revenue assurance solutions provider, has been an active member of the COMPTEL organization for well over 20 years.

For 26 years, Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems has helped telecommunication companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue. Equinox provides these business assurance solutions to virtually every sector of the telecom industry, including cable telephony, wireless, wireline, rural independent, CLEC, and wholesale providers around the globe.

"We attribute our continued success in the telecommunications space to experience and focus," explained David West, Executive Vice President for Equinox. "We focus on our customers by listening to them—product development is based exclusively on their input and designed to address their specific business needs. We focus on creating and maintaining personal connections with our customers. We've served hundreds of customers. None of them has ever declined to serve as a reference for Equinox because we are committed to doing the right thing at all times for our customers."

Equinox will be on hand at the event's exhibition hall in Booth #410 to showcase the ability of their business assurance solutions to detect telecommunications fraud, validate usage revenue and expense, mediate and analyze usage data, and perform various least cost routing and network management functions.

Protector is Equinox's automated fraud management solution. Protector's primary function is to identify suspicious and/or fraudulent activity. It provides real-time fraud protection by monitoring usage records for instances in which actual usage varies from expected usage, as defined by a number of configurable metrics. Protector also includes an integrated case management and investigation tool. Through Protector, Equinox offers communication providers with a forum to share known fraudulent numbers and activity to mitigate carriers' and service providers' exposure to telecom fraud as much as possible.

TeleLink is Equinox's flagship revenue assurance platform. It mediates, enriches, and summarizes usage data, which it captures and presents for reporting and analysis functions, as well as transforms it for delivery to downstream BSS and OSS solutions. By performing these tasks, it makes usage data actionable. TeleLink's reporting and data integration features are extremely robust, allowing disparate usage data to easily be standardized, searched, stored, and retrieved. TeleLink's advanced call detail analytics, call reconciliation, invoice reconstruction, and margin analysis tools provide essential revenue management, expense management, and network management benefits.
